the database occasionally gets corrupted, especially after installing an update,
resulting in total data loss (on the device only, unless you are using a POP3 account with the option *Leave messages on server* disabled).

<p>The cause of this problem are disk I/O errors due to an Android bug (more likely) or maybe a hardware issue (less likely), please <ahref="https://www.sqlite.org/rescode.html#ioerr_write">see here</a>.</p>

<p>This can’t be fixed by the app and must be fixed by the device manufacturer with an Android update.</p>
